Expect that your child will be tired and sore after working hard all day. It’s a good idea to fill out the Non-Prescription Medication Form and drop off any over the counter pain relief medications (i.e., Tylenol or Motrin) if needed during the day.
A Prescription Medication Form can be completed and signed by a physician if your child needs prescription medication administered while at band camp. The form and medication in the original container must be given to one of the directors by a parent. The medication is kept in a locked area and accessible by the directors and Milford Schools staff. All medication will be kept and distributed by a director or parent who is a district employee that has completed the district’s extracurricular supervision training.
Friendly reminder that NO student may self medicate at school, as this is a violation of school policy, with the exception of EpiPens and Inhalers.
Students with EpiPens and Inhalers may carry these medications with them, provided that the district’s Self Medication Form (for EpiPen/Inhaler) has been filled out and turned in to the directors.
If your child has a specific medical need (such as a food allergy, asthma, etc.), please make sure that the band directors are aware as well as the head chaperones.
