The Milford High School Marching Band is the largest single student organization in the Milford School district with over 150 participants each year. The band is under the direction of Dr. Tim Dailey, Ms. Jodi Smith, Mr. Andrew Desmond, and Mr. Brandon Dittgen.
The Marching Band is made up of students from all high school bands in addition to the Color Guard. The Marching Band is an extra-curricular activity and participants meet 3-5 days a week for practice, football games, and contests from June until November.
The band competes nationally in the Bands of America (BOA) circuit. They are a perennial BOA Regional Finalist and and a SIX5-time BOA Grand National Semi-Finalist. Locally, the band competes as a consistent top performer in the Mid-States Band Association circuit and the Kentucky Music Educators Association circuit.
Planning for the 2020 season (including pandemic-related requirements for sanitation and social distancing) is underway. The band directors are working with the school district and the Band Boosters to develop plans for safely conducting Band Camp, rehearsals, and competitions.
