The Milford High School Symphonic Band is compromised of students in grades 9-12 who audition each spring for admittance to the band the following fall. The band performs four school concerts per year in addition to performing at OMEA Large Group Contest. The students of the symphonic band are strongly encouraged to take private lessons and must complete concert critiques each semester. The band is under the direction of Mr. Brandon Dittgen.
The majority of the students in symphonic band participate in District XIV Solo & Ensemble each year. Members of the ensemble are also encouraged to audition for district honor band and OMEA All-State Band. In addition, students can participate in the Pep Band each winter and in the Jazz Band each winter and spring.
