Music for All is committed to expanding the role of music and the arts in education, to heightening the public’s appreciation of the value of music and arts education, and to creating a positive environment for the arts through societal change. Working with leading national authorities and other non-profit organizations, Music for All invests resources and personnel in projects that expand access to public school music and arts programs through advocacy and public awareness efforts to support music and arts education.
WGI Sport of the Arts is the world’s premier organization producing indoor color guard and percussion ensemble competitions. As a non-profit youth organization, WGI serves as the leading governing body of the winter guard and indoor percussion activities. It is called the Sport of the Arts because it brings music to life through performance in a competitive format. Now entering its 37th year, the sport continues to evolve and grow. There were more than 36,000 participants at the regional level, and more than 12,000 participants at the Sport of the Arts World Championships this past April.
The Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) is the principal organization in Ohio promoting music education in elementary and secondary schools as well as colleges and universities. One of the largest state music education associations in the United States, OMEA is a federated state affiliate of NAfME, The National Association for Music Education.
MSBA is a consortium of High School band organizations in and around the Dayton Ohio area. Membership is defined by participating in any MSBA sanctioned event during the competition season. All member schools are welcome to attend the year end director’s meeting and each school is allowed one voting member.
