Congratulations!
|
It was a huge weekend for the Winter Drumline and Guard programs! Drumline competed at the WGI Dayton Regional and led the Scholastic A class from wire to wire, taking 1st place in Saturday Prelims and Sunday Finals. All three Guard units competed at TMA Ryle on Saturday--the Open and Junior guards won their classes, and the A Guard took 2nd. They followed this up with a Sunday MEPA competition at the WSU Nutter Center, where both the Open and A Guards won their classes!

We are in the home stretch for the Winter Show, coming up this Saturday, March 7! This is our Band program's biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting all of our Band programs from grades 6-12. We need an adult volunteer from each Band, Guard, and Drumline family for at least one 3-hour shift, as well as food and beverage donations.

All band members will wear formal concert attire for the March 10 concert, and have been fit for their dress or tux (pants and jacket, includes tie). Please note that Band members are responsible for the following:
|
- Dresses: You provide black dress shoes and black hose (optional).
- Tuxes: You provide white tuxedo shirt, black socks and black dress shoes (clean marching shoes are acceptable). Tuxedo shirts are available for purchase at Hobby Lobby or several online clothing retailers. A few tuxedo shirts are available from the uniform closet--contact Jennifer Horning to request one.
Band members should allow enough time to dress before report to their performance call time.
|
Jennifer also needs assistance with the following:
|
- Extra hands to assist during 6th and 7th class periods (12:15-2:15pm) this week.
- Extra hands to help before and after the March 10 concert (assist with dress ties, bow ties, cummerbunds, etc., and make sure uniforms are hung correctly afterward.
If you are able to help with any of the above, contact Jennifer at [email protected].
