Welcome to the Milford Marching Band New Marchers newsletter! My name is Kristine Bruns and I am the New Marcher Communications Rep for the Milford Band Boosters. My role is to help new Milford Marching Band parents navigate through the "ins and outs" of the season. I am the mom of a recent Marching Band alumnus and a current sophomore mellophone band member.

You will learn a lot by reading through the guidelines sent by Dr. Dailey (also available for download on this page). If additional questions arise, feel free to email me here at [email protected]. I hope to be able to answer you quickly - so the directors can focus on directing! I am so excited to start this new season, even thought it may look different. Milford Marching Band has been such a positive experience for my kids and I want to help you all have the same experience.

These New Marcher newsletters are sent throughout the summer and Marching Band season, as we get ready for performances and competitions. Volunteers Needed

Band Boosters are looking for volunteers to assist with student screenings and chaperone duties when Band Camp opens on July 20. Please consider helping out for one or more shifts--some shifts are as short as 30 minutes! Sign up at:

Registration and Fees

Have you completed all the required paperwork and paid fees for the 2020 Marching Band season? Details are in the Marching Band Handbook, which Dr. Dailey sent out earlier this year. Please review and make sure all of the following are complete before Band Camp opens on July 20:
  • Final Forms registration
  • All paper registration forms (Letter of Agreement, Registration, etc.) completed and returned to Band Boosters
  • Fees paid (either in full, or per the installment schedule)

Band Boosters Notes

Milford Band Boosters meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except for July and December). All meetings start at 7pm. Attendance is open to anyone, and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. When possible, Band Boosters meetings are held at Milford High School. When necessary, they will be scheduled as virtual meetings (Zoom or a comparable platform), and login information will be provided prior to the meeting.
