Plans are underway for the 2020 Milford Winter Show on Sat Mar 7! Winter Guard and Drumline ensembles from around the tri-state area will be competing at the event, which will feature a full vendor exhibit area--including Gramma Carol's afghans!

2020 Milford Bands Discount Cards

The 2020 Milford Bands Discount Cards have arrived! Last week, students in all three academic band ensembles received information on the 2020 Milford Bands Discount Cards. Cards are $10 each, and offer fantastic deals around the community that are reusable all year long! Students should take orders and collect money; cards will be provided for delivery after the money is turned in. Additional order forms will be available in the Band Room. Band Boosters Scholarship Deadline - Fri Jan 24
|
|
The Band Boosters will once again be awarding a $500 nonrenewable scholarship to a graduating senior who has been active in Band (or Guard) for at least three years, and who is planning to attend a four-year institution to further his/her education in music performance, arts (dance), or music education. The Local Scholarships Packet was released the week of Dec 9, with applications due Fri 1/24. Deadline Extended: Disney 2021 Registration

Did you miss the deadline to sign up for the 2021 Walt Disney World trip? Are you looking for a "destination only" package? Even though the registration deadline was last week, we have left the system open for late registrations. Visit milfordbands.org/disney to get registered!

Deadline Extended: DCI World Championships Tickets
|
Deadline extended!!! Tickets are still available for the August 2020 bus trip to the Drum Corps International World Championships. This year's event is Aug 8 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. Event tickets are $45, and a bus ticket is $15.

2020 Marching Band Calendar

The band directors have published the 2020 Marching Band calendar. The schedule includes some changes from prior years that should allow families more freedom during the summer months and create a better weekly routine during the season. Competition dates have not been released yet but will be provided when available. Please feel free to share this schedule with anyone who may be interested, especially prospective new members!

Registration Opens for Summer Symposium
|
|
June 22-27 on the campus of Ball State University. Register by January 31 to receive the best price of the year. Fees includes tuition, housing, meals, tickets to all evening concerts, a t-shirt, and a group photo.

Spring Mattress Sale - Feb 15
|
The Milford Bands Mattress Fundraiser is coming soon! There will be 25 different styles of beds on display for customers to try. The beds are new, brand name, made to order, available in all sizes, and cost less than retail stores. In addition to beds, there will also be luxury pillows, sheets and even adjustable power bases! Band Boosters meetings for the 2019-2020 school year will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except for July and December). All meetings start at 7pm in the Milford High School Band Room. Attendance is open to anyone, and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Upcoming meetings are scheduled for 1/28, 2/25, 3/24, 4/28, 5/26, and 6/23.
