Fall Fundraiser Orders Due - November 4

Thanks to everyone for your hard work during this year's fall fundraiser! Completed sales forms and payments are due to a band director by Monday 11/4. (For 6th grade band students who do not have band on Monday, orders are due by Tuesday 11/5.) Mark your calendars for Saturday 12/14, when item pickup will take placein the MHS Band Room from 9am-12:30pm.

Dine to Donate @ Mulberry Skyline - November 4

On Monday 11/4, come out to the Mulberry Skyline! The coupon says 4pm to 10pm, but the fundraiser runs all day--mention Milford Band Boosters, and a portion of your order will directly benefit the Band!

Winter Show Planning Meeting - November 7

Planning for the 2020 Winter Show is already underway! The Winter Show is a day-long competition featuring 30+ Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion groups from around the tristate area. The show is a major fundraiser for the Band programs, and usually brings in 1000+ spectators over the course of the day. The 2020 Winter Show is scheduled for March 7.

Interested in helping to plan the Winter Show? Please join us on 11/7 at 7pm in the MHS Auditorium. We will finish up before the end of Marching Band practice. If you are unable to attend but interested in helping, please contact Leslie Long at [email protected].

MSBA Championships @ Mason - November 9


On Saturday 11/9, the Marching Eagles will travel to the 2019 Mid-States Band Association Open Championships. The competition will be held at Atrium Stadium on the campus of Mason Middle School, adjacent to Mason High School (6370 Mason Montgomery Rd, Mason 45040). The Band will perform at 8pm.
We still need help with Pit Crew and Props for this competition. Sign up to help at this link.

Fundraiser Packet Processing

Help Needed!
We need your help with processing fundraiser packets! Please join us on Tuesday 11/12 at 5pm in the MHS Band Room. No experience needed--we will train you onsite. Even if you have to come late, or can only stay for part of the evening, please sign up below to help out.

Indy Posters -
One Week Left!

Indy poster hanging will take place on Tuesday 11/12 between 3-5pm. Bring your poster to the cafeteria, where Boosters will provide binder clips and tape. If you can't hang it yourself, please make arrangements to have someone hang it for you, or drop it off at the MHS Office during the school day with a label for "Band Boosters". Remember:
  • Posters should be 22" wide by 28" tall.
  • Take advantage of the SmugMug albums assembled by our Booster photographers to collect photos (link here).
  • These are a surprise for first-time marchers...please keep them a secret!

Wind Ensemble @ University of Kentucky - November 24
On Sunday 11/24, the MHS Wind Ensemble will travel to Lexington to perform a joint concert with the University of Kentucky Wind Symphony. The concert will take place in the Singletary Center Concert Hall at 3pm.
Wind Ensemble members...remember that the up-front cost of this trip ($55) needs to be paid to Band Boosters by 11/1. Checks can be left in the Boosters box in the Band Office.

Volunteers Needed

Pit Crew / Props

Assist the Marching Eagle Road Crew at upcoming football games and competitions. Help with loading and unloading equipment and props, as well as moving equipment on and off the field for the performance.

Sell snacks and spirit wear in the School Store before and after school. Rhonda Friedland and Jody Morgan will train you and work with you until you are comfortable on your own.

Booster Odds and Ends

2019/20 Meeting Schedule

Band Boosters meetings for the 2019-2020 school year will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except for July and December). All meetings start at 7pm in the Milford High School Band Room. Attendance is open to anyone, and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Upcoming meetings are scheduled for November 26, January 28, February 25, March 24, April 28, May 26, and June 23.


It's never too late to join the Milford Band Boosters! Membership is only $10 per family and comes with a photo button of your favorite band member(s).
