Freddy's Dine to Donate - Oct 8

Join the Band Boosters on Tuesday 10/8 from 4-9pm at Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers (907 OH-28 Milford, across from Scene 75)! Your presence will be the cherry on top of our fundraising efforts. Click here for the fundraiser flier--show a printout or mobile version, and the Band will receive 20% of proceeds. Ensemble Bands Fall Concert - Oct 9

The Ensemble Bands will perform their Fall Concert on Wednesday, October 9 beginning at 7pm in the MHS Gymnasium. Admission is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:45pm. Click here for additional information. Hope to see you there!

Fall Fundraiser

Packets for the 2019 Fall Fundraiser were distributed to students in all band programs last week (grades 6-12). All orders and payments are due by Monday, November 4, and item pickup will be in the MHS Band Room on Saturday, December 14. This year's fundraiser features citrus from Florida Indian River Groves, Wooden Spoon Cookie Dough, Butter Braids, Yankee Candle products, SUZ soaps, and poinsettias from Grant's Greenhouse.

Please note that the Marching Band will not practice during the Milford Schools Fall Break (October 11-15). Following the regularly scheduled rehearsal on Thursday 10/10, the next scheduled rehearsals are on Wednesday 10/16.

3rd Quarter Cookies

Please keep bringing in cookie donations! Following their halftime performance at each home football game, the Band and Guard celebrate with cookies and drinks in the end zone. We also invite the visiting band to join in. Donations of prepackaged cookie can be left with a director or in the cookie bin, which is located in the uniform closet (look for the yellow lid).

The timing and setup of 3rd quarter cookies prevents us from being able to closely monitor whether cookies contain nuts. We ask that anyone with a nut allergy avoid the cookie booth.

Volunteers Needed

Pit Crew / Props

Assist the Marching Eagle Road Crew at upcoming football games and competitions. Help with loading and unloading equipment and props, as well as moving equipment on and off the field for the performance.

Competition & Game Chaperones

Chaperones help keep track of students, enforce "travel rules", assist with uniforms, and other tasks as needed. An approved background check is required. No experience is necessary; rookie chaperones will be paired with experienced chaperones.

School Store

Sell snacks and spirit wear in the School Store before and after school. Rhonda and Jody Morgan will train you and work with you until you are comfortable on your own.

Uniform Helpers

We need one additional volunteer to help with costumes at each remaining home football game and competition. You will receive free admission to each event you sign up for. A background check is required.

Booster Odds and Ends

2019/20 Meeting Schedule

Band Boosters meetings for the 2019-2020 school year will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except for July and December). All meetings start at 7pm in the Milford High School Band Room. Attendance is open to anyone, and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Upcoming meetings are scheduled for October 22, November 26, January 28, February 25, March 24, April 28, May 26, and June 23.

Membership

It's never too late to join the Milford Band Boosters! Membership is only $10 per family and comes with a photo button of your favorite band member(s).
