To celebrate our marchers’ hard work over the course of the season, Milford Band families traditionally create a poster for their marcher(s) that hangs in the school cafeteria during the last few days of the season. Even without a competitive season, the Band’s hard work and dedication to the music deserve to be recognized! Here are some guidelines:
- Posters can be made on poster board or foam board, and should be 22″W x 28″H or smaller.
- Put your student’s name and grade on the back of poster.
- Get creative! In prior years, posters have typically followed the show theme. This year, consider photos that cover not just Band activities, but also activities that your student has been pursuing during this “2020 Kind of Band Season”.
- As much as possible, we try to keep these a surprise for first-year marchers.
To help build your student’s poster, feel free to use the photos that our volunteer photographers have been uploading to SmugMug throughout the season. Link to the albums here. If you need help building the poster, you may find these instructions helpful.
Due to limited access to the school, Boosters will take care of hanging posters this year. You can start dropping posters off at the Milford High School Office beginning on Monday Oct 5. Please have all posters dropped off by Thursday Oct 8 to allow time for hanging. Make sure your student’s name and grade are on the back of the poster!
